    I go Canon, cuz …
I go Canon, cuz they have a better focusing array. I think that’s one of the reasons pros pick the Canon. Canon’s high-precision CT (cross-type) sensor goes down to ƒ2.8 while the Nikons only go down to ƒ5.6. That means the center CT sensor in the Canon’s Rebel is potentially more precise than even the CT sensors in the Nikon D3, Nikon’s flagship DSLR. Don’t believe me? Go read the specs!

    Thanks man, i was …
Thanks man, i was still taking about the rebel XSi tho, and i was just worried about the pictures being too “noisy” i guess is the term for it. Like for night shots, at high ISO
It being a 12.2 megapixel and all

    Well, they both …
Well, they both create magnificent images, and the XT is 8 MP, so i believe your talking of either the XS or XTi …. Either way they are all great camera, and you just have to way up feature-set and price ……

    So do you think, …
So do you think, getting a Cannon Rebel XSi (12.2 Megapixel) would be a bad choice then.
Or should i get the Cannon rebel XT (10.1) megapixels?
I’ve been using a point and shoot casio exilim (8.1 MP)
So i dont think i would want to go down from that.

    its not irrelevant …
its not irrelevant at all, its very important actually. The more MP a sensor has the smaller the pixels are. The smaller the pixels are, the more noise (grainy stuff) is introduced. This make shooting high ISO’s very noisy, so low light performance is reduced. So, many times having more MP is actually bad. This is why companies are coming out w/ camera like the nikon d3/d700, canon 1ds mkIII/5dmk II/ and sony a900. These cameras are full-frame and have larger sensors, meaning bigger pixels :)
