Digital Camera Info in a Flash!
How to find the right Digital SLR camera?

I am a starting out Photographer, and would link a camera that is Reliable, Good quality pictures, and a Reasonable price (under 1,000 dollars). I was wondering a few things:
Wheres the best place to buy digital slr cameras online or in store?
What brand is good?

Any other stories or information would be awesome!
Thanks!

The best way to pick a DSLR is to go to a store and hold them in your hands and play around with them. You may not get the best price but remember with DSLR’s you are buying into a system that you might have for decades. You will want to make sure that the company you choose is comfortable for you to use. Once you start adding lenses and flashes it can be very expensive to switch brands. You can always buy online but you need to try them out first.

For some cameras to look at I would check out the Canon Rebels and the Nikon D40 or D60. Nikon and Canon have the most available lenses and accessories.
I would also look at the Pentax, Olympus and Sony cameras.

Check out these websites for online purchases.

I am also a beginner in photography and i’ve had some guidance from my cousin-in-law who has been practicing photography for more than a year.
He recommended me to use the site http://www.bh.com and/or http://www.jr.com
both are good sites for SLR cameras. He prefers to use Nikon but i believe Canon is good as well.

Here are some SLR cameras you can research on if you’re interested:
    Nikon 40
    Nikon 40X
    Nikon 60
    Canon EOS Digital Rebel XSI
    Canon EOS Digital Rebel XT

They’re all less than $1000. Also make sure the lenses that you’re buying is right for you. Good Luck finding a right camera !
