    Unfortunately, if …
    Unfortunately, if one was to take a photo of themselves using the live preview and the swivel LCD, the LCD will be blocked by the tripod neck. The CanonPowershot A640 isn’t an SLR, but the LCD swivels out to the side. They should have made the feature like that.

    I saw this one at Best Buy with a wide angle lens included for $700 total. Thinking about buying this one, the video feature is such a nice addition.

    Well, sensor isn’t …
    Well, sensor isn’t better… t1i has more pixels at cm2 than d5000, which means, more noise… And i think that d5000 has a bit higher dynamic range… But those are small differences… Buy the one you like the most lauren…

    @DaSoggyRiceCake i …
    @DaSoggyRiceCake i saw an unboxing video on youtube and the guy that unboxed it said that it records video in 1080p and all that but it doesn’t have autofocus while recording, and he had to use manual focus throughout the videos he shot. i don’t really know that’s just what i heard, i might be wrong.

    @wojciech155 What …
    @wojciech155 What do you mean ‘it doesn’t have the autofocus’? In what way will it not autofocus? I know that the T1i can zoom and auto focus while you are shooting video, which the Nikon D90 can’t do

    i recomend rebel, …
    i recomend rebel, better CMOS sensor, better video quality as it can manage 1080p and the nikon cant and even at 720p the nikon struggles with focus, my opinion

    A serious con for …
    A serious con for not having a motor is that you have to use DX lenses to get auto focus. When you eventually upgrade camera bodies, to eventually having a full frame digital, your DX lenses will not cover the full frame sensor. Better to buy a came that has a motor, such as d50, d80, d90, d200, d300 etc. so you can use non DX lenses. cheers.

    I purchased this …
    I purchased this camera with the black fri package for $849. It came wiht the extra zoom lens. I dont know a whole lot about dslr’s but several friends did and told me this was a great buy. We purchased it and are completely well satisfied. My brother in law whom knows alot about camera’s helped us pick it out. He was overly impressed by the picture. We get lots of comments on them. Def well worth it.

    I highly doubt that …
    I highly doubt that. Thats against the law. they cant replace the camera with something not equivalent. and secondly they will replace the camera with the same exact model. If you were smart you would take nikon to court. Even if it is small claims court you will get your camera back. Ive had 7 Nikons and never any of these problems you speak of. And my uncle was a professional photographer and used nothing but nikon and again never any problems with nikon.

    It doesn’t focus …
    It doesn’t focus from with in the camera. You need a lens with auto focus. Any mention of it doing so is referring to the kit lens. Not a biggy though as i’m getting one with a Sigma 18-250 with built in auto focus.
