I have this camera. there’s only 2 cons: Image noise, it starts appearing already at ISO 200, and Video: not really good, in fact, really bad. COmpare nikons videos to any canon digital coamera (even a compact model) and you’ll notice canon totally rules at filming. Also, you cant zoom digitally while filming (canon equals) and digital zoom (while filming) is very limited. other than that, great camera!

Yes it has panorama assist software . It also has time lapse feature ( From 30 seconds up to 60 minutes between shots for a total of 1800 frames) that lets you take up to a 60 second time lapse movie.

If you want to take …
If you want to take memories or pretty pictures of the neighbors garden ETC, that’s perfectly cool. There are plenty of compacts that do that. But i’m upset that they make these $500-$800 toys. If you have that much money to spend there are “real” cameras that will, if nothing more, exercise your brain and let you learn something new.
