What’s the best Nikon digital camera for around $100?

My old camera broke It was a Polaroid and didn’t work too well. It always died in less than an hour, and it needed 2 AA batteries. I was wondering if there were any Nikon (Or Canon) digital cameras that take good photos and have a battery that can be charged instead of buying batteries all the time..and for around $100-$150 maybe? If that’s too cheap, just tell me and maybe show me a good one please? I’m just in need of a good camera..Thanks! God bless!

Is there a battery indicator on the Nikon S3000 Digital Camera?

Im looking to buy the Nikon S3000 Digital Camera for my daughter, but from the reviews I’ve read it appears there is no battery power indicator on the LCD. Is this true?

Yes, there is a battery indicator…sort of.

No symbol shows and everything’s fine.
A Battery symbol shows and the power is low, prepare to recharge/replace.
An Exclamation Mark shows and the battery is exhausted…no pictures can be taken, recharge/replace battery.
